No more than 3 years after the 2007 Brit-com "Death at a Funeral" in the cinemas, this offered an almost scene for scene remake of variation to the original. Once again, a family gathered for the dignified funeral of a patriarch, elder son (Chris Rock) has prepared a eulogy, younger son (Martin Lawrence) has flown in on his fame as a bestselling author; favorite niece (Zoe Saldana) has brought her fiance ( James Marsden, Flipping out suspect), without that he inadvertently made a hallucinogen by their pharmaceutically-minded brother (Columbus Short, Cadillac Records included). You know, the usual fare for a funeral. The Joker is a stranger (Peter Dinklage, the only member of the cast of his role from the 2007 film repeat), which has something urgent to give the two sons. There is nothing terribly elevated on the slapstick, and a certain scatological sequence tests the limits of endurance (30 Rock's Tracy Morgan, unbounded in its usual form, takes the brunt of this scene). The unexpected director Neil LaBute, who shows off his sense of comic timing and keeps the entire apparatus to move along briskly. Besides the relatively subdued alternately by Rock and Lawrence, among the major actors Danny Glover, Regina Hall, Luke Wilson, and Loretta Devine. It is almost irrelevant to debate whether this version or ventilated improved the original, both hit their notes, which provide broad yuks and left feeling a mostly mechanical. But the task is completed - now rest in peace

Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin are perfect pitch film in the romantic comedy The back-up plan - a film as easily as the foam on a root beer float's, which, however, manages to be both romantic and very funny . Lopez, who after a long absence from the screen is a pleasure to watch - a perfect (and underrated) comedian, savings can and sparks with the best of their peers, and better than most. Lopez's chemistry with the dreamy O'Loughlin will engage the audience completely. Lopez plays Zoe, an intelligent woman whose dating life was dismal - and who decides ultimately become a single mother, so that they at least reach the motherhood she always desired. As fate would have it, she meets Mr. Perfect (Mr. or Close To It), O'Loughlin's Stan, on the same day she visited the clinic and is pregnant with twins. The early stages of their courtship include Zoe's increasingly desperate measures to hide her growing belly. In time, she confesses her condition Stan is thrilled - but roiling with hormones on both sides, and get the reality about the birth approaches, both Zoe and Stan cold feet. If the action of the back-up plan is a bit predictable, hold the power of both Lopez and flinty O'Loughlin involved the viewer entirely. Actor Eric Christian Olsen, as Zoe's best guy PAL, and the beautiful and funny Michaela Watkins (The New Adventures of Old Christine) turn in terrific performances, too, and cameos by veterans, including Albert Klein (as Zoe's hyperenthusiastic doctor), Tom Bosley Linda Lavin and round out the excellent ensemble of actors. The back-up plan also provides a binding soundtrack with a danceable tune of Lopez, "What Is Love?" and unforgettable songs by Colbie Caillat, India.Arie, and more. The back-up plan shows that love does not always go according to plan - OK, it never does - but it's worth the trip, but ultimately it is the heart.
